WELCOME TO AIR SYMPHONY WIND ORCHESTRA

Air Symphony Wind Orchestra is a concert band made up of a group of enthusiastic young musicians. It is a place where we interact, learn and grow while having lots of fun together as a group. Music is our passion, and that’s what keeps us going week after week. Most of our current members are young musicians that have previously played instruments during their high-school years, be it trumpets, saxophones, clarinets, percussions or others.

Our band is founded through the vision of Mr. Yim Hock Mun and Mr. Yap Siong Wei as a place where young music enthusiasts combine and participate in fun music sessions. It started humbly as a small music ensemble (Air Brass Quintet) in the year 2008 with only a handful of former high school band members. Through time, our members have increased to more than 30 members and growing, leading to the establishment of a full concert wind orchestra, namely the Air Symphony Wind Orchestra.

We have participated in a number of events and performances, including charity events, wedding dinners, holiday performances, etc. Our performances were carried out in various groups, sizes and set-up including in small groupings such as Brass Ensembles, Concert Form and even in Marching Band Style.

With the passion of every member, we have planned an upcoming concert to be held on 18th December 2011 at Menara PGRM in Kuala Lumpur. It is a “Concert That is More Than Music Art” that features themes from movies and other repertoire of fun music. For more information, please click here.
